Emily Ward is a professional artist based in Tyne & Wear. She has achieved a BA(Hons) in Art and has taught art in her community for over 25 years. While teaching, Emily found herself no longer painting, but rediscovered her art after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. She's been a force to be reckoned with ever since!

Emily is renowned for her charity work. Her original paintings have been auctioned and raised thousands of pounds for charities. She has painted murals and commissions, alongside her original paintings for many large charities in the North East of England, as well as personal portraits for hundreds of families around the world.

Emily works in a range of materials and mediums, from watercolours and pastels to acrylic and charcoal, on both paper and on canvas! This range is also found in the subjects that she paints. Emily paints portraits and animals, mostly as personal commissions, as well as landscapes both imagined and real, seascapes, and florals. Her interpretations of real places throughout the UK are full of feeling and life, perfectly capturing the atmosphere of a place. Emily's landscapes and florals are a riot of colour and are often expressions of joy and vitality.

Emily's philosophy is to create affordable, beautiful, and unique art for everyone to enjoy.
