Casimiro was born in Alcoy, Alicante, in 1959.
He first studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Alcoy before moving to Valencia. It was here where he realised his love for marine subjects, which have become one of his specialities.
Despite his age and accomplishments, Casimiro continues to study at the University of Valencia, learning new artistic skills and constantly improving those he already has. He has recently began to explore new styles, including abstract sculptural paintings.
When beginning his career, Casimiro created exhibitions in cultural centres, banks, and official institutions, with his first solo exhibition taking place in 1981.
Casimiro's current work is exemplified by his use of bright colours on pale backgrounds and his incredible use of texture. The juxtaposition of foreground and background in his work creates immediately recognisable works that are full of humour and stories.
