Carl Paul

carl-paul-lincoln-cathedral

Local artist Carl Paul was born in Grimsby in 1962, He currently still lives there with his wife Sylvia and their two children Daniel and Lauren.

Carl’s interest in art started at an early age. Teachers at school were often calling upon him to help with various art and design projects, especially Christmas concerts and school plays.

Upon leaving school in 1979 Carl enrolled in the Grimsby College of Art and Design. Carl’s work has always been diverse but it was here that he truly learnt his many and varied styles, from wildlife and landscape to portraiture. His current available work has local views from across Lincolnshire, including Lincoln and Stamford.

Carl has always had a soft spot for artists such as Van Gogh, Degas, Monet and Renoir. Their use of colour and bold strokes to create their work left its impression on Carl from an early age and continues to influence his work today.

Carl works in acrylic and oil paints and has paper and canvas prints available of his work, contact us at art@thelittleredgallery.co.uk for a catalogue of Carl's print work.
